The Program Committee and the Administrative Oversight Committee are trying to conduct our Annual Sessions as safely as possible. Quaker Lake is unable to host us. Although we are a religious organization and exempt from state mandates, Quaker Lake is designated as a conference center and therefore falls under the present Phase 2 guidelines that limit indoor gatherings to 10 and outdoor to 25. Concord Friends has graciously offered the use of their Family Life Center August 7-8 for our Annual Sessions.
We are asking each monthly meeting to have one representative in attendance. Masks will be required and social distancing maintained. Meals and refreshments will be served individually.
Paul Routh will be broadcasting the sessions on Facebook Live so everyone can safely feel a part of the proceedings. The reports you would typically receive in your registration packet will be posted on the website.
Those representatives attending in person may use the existing registration form. Those participating virtually will not have to register. There is a revised schedule. We have an abbreviated format since our invited guest speaker from Iowa is unable to be with us and there will be no workshops. Jeff Barnes, pastor of Kernersville Friends, will speak on Friday evening. We plan to be finished with business Saturday afternoon.
