BUDDY & JANET BURTON–special music on April 7 (Message in Music) Buddy & Janet live in Gibsonton, Florida. He is the Associate Pastor and Janet is the Choir Director at First Baptist Church there. Janet is also a music professor at Hillsborough Community College in Brandon, Florida. Janet has the only CD and rudiment book in gospel music, Do Re Mi’s of Music. She has written a children’s book called “Pee Wee and Me”. They have both sung quartet music most of their lives. Buddy was with Smitty Gatlin, the Statesmen Quartet, The Masters and The Stamps. He also sang with Richard Cotrane. Janet sang with several local groups in North Alabama. Both of them are songwriters and are in the Hall of Fame.
